RAYGLASS STEPS UP THE PACE

Team Rayglass are back once again to their second home here in Brisbane, in readiness for this weekends Castrol EDGE Jamboree. The Team has some pretty big news and most likely this will be the last outing for the Rayglass Datsun. The full chrome moly chassis Rayglass Datsun is the fastest 4cyl sedan in Australasia and is currently FOR SALE. This SR20 powered machine has run a best of 7.67sec @ 178mph. The Team won't be sitting back watching the sheep either when they get back to New Zealand, with the just released News of their newly purchased Rick Jones built Toyota Celica GT Pro car. They'll have their work cut out preparing the new Rayglass Celica for the 2007-2008 Season. The Celica is powered by Scranton Brothers Racing 2JZ Toyota 6cyl engine, the 107inch Rick Jones built car has some pretty trick gear with a full carbon fibre body, interior & wheeltubs.

The drivetrain starts with a Titanium clutch can, 7.5" triple plate slider clutch, and air shifted five speed Lenco transmission. After initial testing at home in New Zealand the Rayglass Team plan to head back to Australia in time for the 2008 Mini-Jam in March. Team Rayglass is looking forward to lining up next season with the likes of Wedlock, Signorelli and fellow country man Reece McGregor as the 2007-2008 Sport Compact Group Series lifts the bar to new performance heights. CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL & 300 ENTRIES READY FOR J17

The 17th Annual Castrol EDGE Jamboree, plays host to the Grand Final of the 2006-2007 Sport Compact Group Drag Racing, this weekend at Willowbank Raceway. With a near record entry list of 300 competitors ready to hit the 1/4 mile, the Final Round of the Championship is set to be the biggest yet.

With 11 of the 12 Classes still to be decided in the Championship, the points leaders will be working hard to secure points in this Final Round. Leonard Azzopardi has the Outlaw Sports Bike Class all sewn up on 355 points. Even so you can bet Azzopardi will be out to try and regain the ET & MPH Records taken from him at the Toyo Tyres Compak Attak by Alex Borg in May.

The 999 Automotive Pro Compact will be one to watch with a stella 14 car field set to go heads up in the Chicago Shootout. With a bunch of new names like Brett Glover, Brett Morgan, Mohamad Ibraham, Rodney Rehayem and Steve Dimech ready to make their make, the action is sure to have fans on the EDGE of their seats at the Castrol EDGE Jamboree this weekend, August 25 and 26. DYNO DYNAMICS DYNO COMP IS BACK

We are proud to have DYNO DYNAMICS back as the Official Dynamometer of the Sport Compact Group Drag Racing Series. The Dyno Dynamics Dyno Comp will run on both the Saturday and Sunday of the Castrol EDGE Jamboree so you have the choice of which day you would like to compete. You may compete on 1 Day only with the overall winners from the 2-days of competition being announced at the Drag Racing Presentation on Sunday. If you wish to compete in the Dyno Comp only, on-day entries will be accepted until 12noon each day. If you are already competing at the Castrol EDGE Jamboree in the Drags, Show-N-Shine or Club Display you can enter the Dyno Comp at the event anytime throughout the event up until 12noon on Sunday.
