QUEEN STREET RACING PUMPS IT UP
The Queen Street Racing Team have been putting in some serious development time over the last few months into their Quad Rotor BMW M3 engine combo and it's paid off. At this weekends Castrol EDGE Jamboree you'll see the award winning Queen St Racing BMW M3 hit the track with over 1,600 hp! That's right, 1,600hp! Checkout the You Tube footage of this killer single turbo beast built by Bill Nabhan of Mazsport and tuned by Phil Laird of Graphic Skills Racing. Hope the boys have got some better exhaust manifold gaskets as I can't imagine there is much left of them as you'll see.
The next challenge for QSR Team is to get the 1,664hp (1,241kw) with 1,158 lb/ft of torque to the race track. The key here being the all important clutch set-up. Bill Nabhan of Mazsport will be the man piloting the M3 this Saturday and if the team gets it sorted you should see Bill into the 6sec zone for the 1st time. Another can in the QSR stable is their Pro Compact R100. Handling the driving duties of this Black Beauty is Mr QSR himself, Mohammed "Barbe" Ibraham. Get along and checkout these works of art.

DAVE "MISTABOOSTA" GILBERT BACK IN THE SADDLE
After a two year layoff Dave “Mistaboosta” Gilbert made a recent welcomed return to Outlaw Sports Bike racing. The ever controversial “Mistaboosta” debuted his new Turbo Suzuki at Rd. 1 of the Dragbike Extravaganza held at Heathcote Park Raceway. After several shakedown passes, for both bike and rider, Gilbert took “Big Bird 2” to a finals win in the Top E.T. Bike class.
"It's great to be back in the saddle" said Gilbert. "I can't wait to really crank the boost up and see what this new combination can do."
Gilbert's turbo Suzuki carries some of the latest technology available including a Marelli control and ignition system.
"I spent some time with Pat Cahill of Competition Systems in Melbourne to learn about the magic box" said Gilbert.
"He's Australia foremost expert in the Marelli system."
Big Bird 2 will now be prepared ready for this Saturday's Castrol EDGE Jamboree.
Gilbert has been involved in the development of the SCG's dragbike rules since its inception.
"SCG's Outlaw Sports Bike Class has been a great success in it's first year comments Dave Wolf of Wolf Racing. The chase will now be on for Australia's first 200mph Outlaw Bike pass" said Gilbert.
Gilbert thanked his family for their support, Competition Systems, Motorcycle Accessories Warehouse at Castle Hill, Motul Oils and Terry Jackson Fiberglass.
