Toyo Tires Sport Compact Group Drag Racing Series - Press Release 38

SPORT COMPACT ON DISPLAY AT PARRAMATTA WESTFIELD

Two of Australia's leading Toyo Tires Sport Compact Group Drag Racing Series racers will be on display at Westfield Parramatta next week in the lead up to the Mackenzie's Motor Trimming Compak Attak.

Australia's Fastest Rotary, the Pac Performance Mazda MX6 will be on display from the 8th to the 11th of May at Parramatta's Westfield Shopping Centre in NSW. The Pac MX6 competes in the McKern & Assoc. Pro Turbo Class and can cover the 1/4 mile in 6.84sec at over 203mph/326kph. After a disappointing result at Round 2 of the Toyo Tires Sport Compact Series in Brisbane, the Pac Team are in 4th place in the championship. With a few test sessions under their belt since Round 2 the Rehayem Brothers are back on top of the combo and will be out in force at their home track of WSID, on Sunday May 18th for Round 3 at the Mackenzie's Motor Trimming Compak Attak.

Also on display will be the Outlaw Sports Bike of Jamie Bezzina from S & R Pro in Penrith. These no wheelie bar Outlaw Sports Bike are plenty would say you have to have big you know what to ride one of these monsters.

With wins from both Round 1 & 2, Bezzina leads the championship. His Turbocharged Suzuki Hayabusa blitz's the 1/4 mile in 7.69sec at over 188mph/303kph.

Both Rocky & George Rehayem along with Jamie Bezzina, will be on hand to sign posters on Thursday, May 8th from 7pm to 8pm and Saturday May 10th from 12noon at 1pm. The guys will also have plenty of giveaways during these times too. The vehicles will be on display opposite Williams Shoes on Level 2 for 4 days. INTRODUCING GRUDGE CLASS FOR ROUND 3

Not interested in competing? Aren't sure about the rules? Don't want to be eliminated 1st round? Want to kick back and watch the racing after having a few runs? Just want to do a few laps like a Wednesday night Test & Tune?

If so, the Grudge Class at the Mackenzie's Motor Trimming Compak Attak, Round 3 of the Toyo Tires Sport Compact Group Drag Racing Series is for you.

"There seems to be a large number of people that race at Test & Tune events, but don't race at Competition events so we decided to combine them both and have a Grudge Class" comments Ray Box of the Sport Compact Group.

"We'd like to invite the regulator Test & Tune Sport Compact racers to come along and do a few laps at the Mackenzie's Motor Trimming Compak Attak and at the same time see what a Competition meet is all about. We get the Grudge Class out for as many laps as we can with the Competition Class" said Box.

So if you are 1st timer or a regulator Test & Tune racer why not get along on May 18th and support the Toyo Tires Sport Compact Drag Racing Series. All you need is a 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder OHC or rotary powered vehicle along with the normal safety equipment.
